My friend Saray loves to shop and she likes to make sure that she will get a lot of wear out of whatever she buys. Saray and I were having lunch at Anna’s Asian Bistro (813 W Lake St) yesterday and the few times our forks weren’t moving (seriously this BYOB is so delicious!) we were talking shop or one particular shop in this case. Saray as it happens not only loves to shop but she has a few favorite retailers that she relies on for all occasion purposes, one of them being JCrew. Having shopped at JCrew for several years and also having a sister-in-law who is better versed in the many silhouettes JCrew has to offer than their CEO, I can certainly understand its mass appeal. It is still very affordable and is a full lifestyle line for men, women, and more recently children.
So after our lunch we headed over to JCrew (929 W North Ave) with the intent of Saray picking something out and I would style it a few different ways. The following are a few of her favorite outfits of the day. Side note: Saray looked good in everything and was a perfect model to work with of course!
Last night some of Chicago’s most fashionable women (and a few choice men) were treated to a private party featuring Christian Louboutin’s latest nude collection at the flagship store on Oak Street. It was great to see so many “red soles” worn by guests from past seasons and of course checking out all of the new looks for Fall/Winter.
Last night’s event showcased the gorgeous nude options Mr. Louboutin currently offers. Nude shoes are the key to looking longer and leaner. The trick is to wear them when your bare legs are exposed and you will look inches taller.
We all know that I love to shop. Whether I’m shopping for myself or for a client it can be one of the highlights of my day. I want you to feel the same way so I’m going to let you in on some of my best tips for having a great shopping experience.
