Green Tie Ball is Chicago Gateway Green’s biggest fundraising event. The infamous gala, returning each year with a new and exciting theme, raises money for Chicago Gateway Green’s Expressway Partnership Program, which creates and maintains beautiful, sustainable landscapes along Chicago’s major expressways thereby reducing air and noise pollution and landscaping the gateways into the city’s communities. With the Green Tie Ball just a few days away it’s time to start planning your look for the Studio54 themed charity event. Here are a few of my favorite options for this Saturday’s event. Fans can expect to see their favorite DJs and EDM Artists perform at this Saturday’s Snowstorm event. They will also have a chance to create the biggest snowstorm ever seen indoors by creating a white party look to wear to the winter music and arts festival. Read More →
I had a chance to catch up with a few of my girlfriends last night and we got on the topic of puffy coats and whether or not they could be fashionable. As an owner of a few fashionable puffy coats myself I don’t feel any shame when I’m wearing mine around town. To be fair living in Chicago during the Winter months allows you some leeway between fashion and function. Of course there are occasions where I question a woman wearing a puffy coat when she is going bare legged in heels. You can be hot or you can be cold, but you can’t be both at the same time. So as long as your outfit is winterized I say go for it – stay warm, be bold, wear a puffy coat.
