The SAG Awards honors the outstanding film and television performances of the year. It was an exciting getting to see so many deserving actors, television shows, and films get recognized for their achievements. Of course getting to see my favorite actors and actresses win or lose on the red carpet is what I really pay attention to if I’m being honest. So without further adieu here are my favorite looks from last night and what’s any red carpet without the “What were they thinking?” category.
Jeweled Tones: Camila Alves wearing Donna Karan Atelier, Julliane Moore in Givenchy, & Julianna Margulies wearing Giambatista Valli.
Plunging Necklines: Sarah Hyland wearing Vera Wang, Rashida Jones in Emanuel Ungaro, & Jennifer Aniston wearing vintage John Galliano.
What Were They Thinking?: Julia Roberts wearing an ill-fitting Givenchy jumpsuit. While I loved the neckline and overall fit of the top part, there are issues with the fit and drape of the pants. Pointed toe shoes would have also looked better with this silhouette. Edie Falco in a tight Randi Rahm gown. This is a prime example of how going up a size in something can make a huge difference. Emma Stone wearing a Dior Haute Couture tuxedo mini with a full-length sheer overlay. The tuxedo mini would have been great for a movie opening but it’s as if the designers understood that and added a sheer layer to make it Awards show-worthy. It’s not.
